Fortunately, the Arctic Refuge has not been subjected to an onslaught of how-to guide books. You will probably want to supplement your knowledge of the area by carefully studying topographic or geological maps, reading books on the natural history of the Arctic or by reading historical or contemporary accounts of activities within and around the region.
